Our Mission
To work together as neighbors to uphold the quality of life for all Cranstonians by promoting responsible zoning and development that preserves, protects and maintains current and previously zoned open space while maintaining the integrity of our environment.
Save Cranston’s Open Space is an officially recognized non-profit by the State of Rhode Island, we have formed a Board of Directors and will remain vigilant in the fight to protect our neighborhoods.
SCOS was created in April 2007 by a group of residents whose quality of life was threatened by an ill-planned development proposal. Over the past year, SCOS has grown as has our involvement throughout Cranston.
